MHI & Mahajak Group

A Success Story since 1988

Over the past century, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has undergone much change and expansion. The company has placed great emphasis on development and product improvement since its beginning in 1884. One of the ways this has been accomplished is through streamlined cooperation with distributors and manufacturers.

In 1958, the Mahajak Group was born in Thailand. Initially an importer and distributor of industrial fixings and fasteners, the Mahajak Group’s success can be attributed to its commitment to research and development, and a high degree of customer satisfaction.

In 1988, MHI teamed up with the Majahak Group on a joint venture to form Mitsubishi Heavy Industries – Mahajak Air Conditioners Co., Ltd., otherwise known as MACO. MHI’s main air conditioning factory, MACO has delivered exceptional quality products to both Europe and other international markets.

With a focus on sustainability, MHI is currently looking at expanding MACO further to support increasing market demands for air-conditioners whilst maintaining high-level of customer satisfaction.

In addition to this, MACO works hard to strengthen local Thai communities - constructing schools in rural areas, providing resources to orphanages, and contributing to the Thai Red Cross Society blood drives. MACO’s commitment to supporting local communities does not end there. The company recognises that employees are the driving force of its success, and as such are offered education and training programme because MHI believes that, as their products develop, so should their people.
