CO2 air-to-water heat pump boasts high efficiency and low carbon emissions, ideal for commercial applications.


The high efficiency Q-ton is a CO2 air-to-water heat pump (ashp), which can be used in a variety of applications for the supply of sanitary hot water. Q-ton contains the world’s first two-stage compressor (combining rotary and scroll technology). It maintains high efficiency and significantly improves performance at low ambient air temperatures. With increasing F-Gas regulations and an emphasis on using low GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants, we believe a heat pump using CO2 a natural refrigerant is the way forward to comply with future regulations. Q-ton uses an environmentally friendly refrigerant (R744) which poses a Global Warming Potential of 1.0 and an Ozone Depletion Potential of 0.

With an industry leading COP (Coefficient of Performance) of 4.3, Q-ton is the ideal system for delivering hot water requirements in commercial buildings like hotels, care homes and leisure centres. It generates hot water from 60°C to 90°C without the requirement for an electric immersion heater backup.

Q-ton heat pumps are suitable for any applications that require sanitary hot water in excess of 5,000L per day. Typical applications include:
